Henvey Inlet Wind
Clean energy communities – 300 MW wind project between Henvey Inlet subsidiary Nigig Power Corporation and Pattern Canada, generating enough renewable energy to power 100,000 Ontario homes.
Economic impact and lasting jobs – construction created $25M in local First Nations business activity and over 1,000 jobs at peak, with 20 permanent positions and more than 100 indirect jobs supporting Henvey Inlet’s programs and services as the largest First Nation wind energy partnership and associated transmission line in Canada.
"Having access to affordable capital and working with Indigenous professionals (FNFA) make a big difference. This project has been transformational for our community and now e can move forward on our own terms, with our own revenue."
